When you watch this video, what exactly can you think of it?
It's like everybody is busy studying.
And it's true.
All of our family members are now engaged as lifetime students to keep
ourselves abreast with the ever-changing concepts of knowledge and
blend that with our ancient wisdom so that we can spread light as
#guru
Yes, you heard it right… as #guru
It is as if, the small family is now emerging in its new avatar embracing the
the real purpose of its existence as carried through their family surname -
#mukhopadhyay - meaning principal teacher.
The circumstances and situations play a very important role in making one
happy. All sorts of theoretical knowledge like
don’t be an egg in the boiled water
Don’t be a potato in the boiled water
Become like coffee to blend the environment with your color
sounds pretty nice, unless and until the person who went through such a
situation vouches for it
However, a more apt example of such a terrible phase of life would be
gari jab tak patri mein hain to thik hai, ekbaar patri se utar gaya to bohut
mushkil hain usko wohpas lana…
meaning…
As long as the train is on the track, its pretty smooth and straightforward to
drive, but the moment it goes off the track, to bring it back to normalcy is a
hell lot of work
In the modern-day circumstances, these are very common phenomena of
a person's life
So it’s quite normal these days to see a person managing big companies,
whereas his own family is on the brink of devastation and he is kind of on
the medication just to get a normal lifestyle
On the other hand, its also not absolutely impossible to find people in a
the different stratum of the society who, in spite of having limited means
and knowledge and exposure, leading a very happy, purposeful, and
healthy life
My struggling period in the corporate sector was over only when I left it for
good and recreated my life as a #guru spreading the knowledge of
Computer Science. Initially, I started with corporate training for senior
professionals, then gradually narrowed it to college students, then further
narrowed it to training children and now I train my only son #ridit.
You must be thinking of this as a downfall from the commercial point of
view.
But, listen carefully. We, the people of #bharat believe in a holistic view of
spreading knowledge. In ancient #bharat, the teachers were called # gurus,
and they never did it for money. Never. They took it as if that is their only
purpose and they are just doing the duty they are supposed to do. Not for
monetary gain. Not for gaining respect. Not for anything else as such. Just
executing #god’s duty.
The surname of my family is #mukhopadhyay. It means the principal
teacher. And truly, my great grandfather was a scholar and was in the field
of education. But because of the great twist in the fate, after the sad
the demise of this great person, when my grandfather was just a mere 12
years old boy, he and his next generation, that is my dad, had to fight
against poverty in a real hand to mouth circumstances, forgetting the real
meaning of the surname of our family.
Thanks to my Mom, with a little good luck, I have again reestablished the
image of my family in the correct alignment to the meaning of our family
surname, #mukhopadhyay, as a teacher, or rather as a #guru.
And I am fortunate enough to marry #reema, whose maiden surname was
#upadhyaya, the meaning of which is also #guru.
So, when you watch this video, please remember it signifies the
realignment of the image of a family to embrace its true purpose…
To spread lights as #guru
Here's my wife Reema reciting her own poem...
Enjoy...
