Story time - Jibito O Mrito - Alive or Dead - Rabindranath Tagore

The short story of Rabindranath Tagore called

Jibito o Mrito (Alive and Dead)

Kadambini is a widow with no child. One night she suddenly dies and taken for the cremation. But she regains her life back and walks out. She started thinking of herself as a ghost. She wanted to return to her in-laws house but her family members refused to accept her as a living being. And at last she committed suicide to prove that till the last day, she was alive.

The punch line of the story is "Kadambini moriya praman korilo, se more nai" (By dying, Kadambini proved that she did not die).

Why it's important for a great writer to pick up the right words to depict the internal conflicts, the complexity of a human nature in the simplest form of language and expression.

When i started reading the neo writer's book "The God of Small Things" - i started crying - what a woke mind this writer has. And sorry to say, there is a virtua of such woke minds to maintain a smart outside interface - because , in that case if people can't understand anything out of his/her creation, they ll make that person a celebrity

Aysey hai zindagi

Aysy aadmi bhare hue hain charo taraf

Doshochokre bhagawan bhoot.

#Enjoy
